Reviews for Maracuja (Passionfruit Seed) Oil
Constance, our Maracuja (Passion Flower) oil is cold pressed, but it's also then refined. If you'd like, please refer to our Vegetable Oil Methods of Extraction Page.
Kimberly, Our Maracuja Oil is cold pressed and then gently refined. Please remember that as our Web site states, we are a wholesale supplier of natural and complementary ingredients, not a retailer. We're sorry, but we cannot accept the return of ingredients as they are not resellable once opened.
Deborah, our Maracuja Oil as is a 100% pure, unadulaterated oil. I'm mystified as to why you would break out using it if you've used true Maracuja Oil previously. When applying oils, please make sure that your hands are completely clean. I'm certainly not trying to say that is the cause of your situation, but I know that if I touch my face anytime other than after just washing them, I am more likely to break out.
Diane, our Maracuja Oil has been processed and refined in the gentlest manner possible so that it retains as many of its beneficial properties as possible and so it retains its natural color and aroma. We find that oils produced in this manner are superior in quality to more heavily refined oils sold elsewhere. We encourage you to experiment with natural oils and I'm sure that you'll discover how much better they are for your skin.
Lakrisha, I'm wondering if you might have been thinking that this oil had a floral aroma? Vegetable oils (plant oils) aren't very aromatic and tend to have a mild nutty aroma (depending on the particular oil) as they are pressed or extracted generally from the seeds, nuts, pits or other fatty portions of the botanical. Natural essential oils or synthetic fragrance oils, however, are highly aromatic and I'm wondering if you may have been thinking this was either an essential or a fragrance oil?
We're pleased that you like our Passion Flower, Rodney, but we'd appreciate making sure you're aware of the following: Although we supply the highest quality ingredients available, we do not sell our ingredients for consumption. The superior food grade quality of many of our ingredients is certainly worthy of of culinary and other internal uses, but handling and marketing them for consumption would require certain additional procedures that would increase our overhead. For those purchasing in large quantity (i.e. 55 gallon drum or 55 lb. bags), we can sell you the product in the original packaging, suitable for consumption. Please email or call us for more specific details.
