It's good overall but not as soft as other brand I have used. I will give it a try in my products however because this company has really amazing high quality formulas.

Nilotica Shea Butter is exactly what I was looking for that has been extremely hard to find. This Shea butter is so creamy it eliminates a ton of work where I do not need to whip it to make it appliable. Just mix whatever the ingredients are to my skincare product, stir and I’m done. It feels heavenly on the skin and takes about 5 min to absorb. This is magnificent and will continue to repurchase.

Normally Shea Butters make my hair stiff and feel hard and coated. This Organic Nilotica Shea Butter is light and coats my hair just enough that it does not feel hard and coated. I apply it after washing and semi- air drying and it last all week. The breakage has also decreased. I can only expect for the breakage to lessen and the smoothness to increase. This is best shea Butter for my type 4A hait medium porosity. Loooovve it!!!

I have to be honest, I am a bit confused about my two purchases of Shea Nilotica. I first ordered a small size to check the quality. I was pleased and then ordered the large 18kg size. It was until recently that I went to use the large container that I discovered the quality is quite different from the smaller container. The small size was was smooth and creamy and grit free. The large size is not as smooth, or creamy and is quite gritty.

I've tried both the organic Burkina Faso and the organic Nilotica Shea Butter. The Nilotica is so much softer and easier to rub into skin. I also prefer the smell of it to the Burkina Faso. The only downside is the cost difference. I use shea butter to make a lotion for my child. It has helped reduce the itching and redness better than anything else we've tried.
