I wish I had read the previous reviews before buying this. I am a long time customer of FNWL and have been pleased with all products I have purchased in the past. However this product was very disappointing. I did not expect a strong scent but there is absolutely no scent at all. I had 2 other people smell it and both said it didn't smell like anything.

Description
Original Monoi de Tahiti Oil is a beautifully aromatic, exotic French Polynesian oil that is produced using the same strict, traditional methods that have been utilized for over a thousand years. Oil that bears the name Monoi de Tahiti must be manufactured and delivered in accordance with decree 92-340 of April 1st, 1992 relative to the Appellation d’Origine.
The decree ensures the highest quality Monoi de Tahiti AO available. It explicitly describes the age-old tradition of macerating aromatic French Polynesian tiare flowers for a minimum of ten days. The flowers are macerated in a specially refined coconut oil that has been produced using only coconuts (Cocos nucifera) that have been harvested from the coral atolls.
As permitted under the decree, our manufacturing partner stabilizes the oil by adding 0.01-1% Tocopherol. The Tocopherol contains approximately .001-0.01% Sunflower Seed Oil.
Original Monoi de Tahiti Oil possesses a very subtle tiare (gardenia) aroma that is most perceptible when applied to warm skin. Original Monoi de Tahiti Oil contains no added fragrance.
Monoi is French for the word oil. Our use of the word oil in the title of our Monoi de Tahiti products is redundant, but this ensures that all of our valued customers are aware that Monoi de Tahiti is an oil.
Ethical and Sustainable Sourcing:
Original Monoi de Tahiti Oil is produced under strictly controlled manufacturing methods in French Polynesia. Adherence to the decree by our manufacturing partner ensures the highest quality Monoi de Tahiti AO available.
Each liter of Original Monoi de Tahiti Oil produced by our manufacturing partner is registered and controlled by the French government. Our manufacturing partner undergoes a monthly review of their policies, procedures and employees.
The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) has not evaluated Coconut (Cocos nucifera), most likely because coconut trees are so abundant. The IUCN has classified Tiare flowers (Gardenia Taitensis) as being of least concern for endangerment. Our range of Monoi de Tahiti Oils is a conscientious alternative to other specialty oils that are derived from plant species that are classified as threatened or endangered.

unfortunately this product has no scent other than basic coconut oil. i was confused when i first opened the container to take in the aroma, and thought perhaps i had been sent the wrong product, but because FNWL is my best supplier of high quality ingredients, i decided to not request a refund. after all, their sample program is legitimately very generous. but, after reading other reviews here, i can see that perhaps the product is not what we had all hoped. oh well.

I've always had great products FNWL but this monoi is is not worth buying.There is no soft aroma, there is absolutely no aroma. I have used monoi from other companies that are purely natural and a product of Tahiti and have a beautiful scent. I thought I would give FNWL a try but there is nothing I can do with this product.

I had really high hopes based on the description of the Monoi de Tahiti, that I bought a one pound container of it. Well, I am so disappointed, everything I have read about this states that there is a lovely floral aroma. I realise it is in the coconut oil, but there is absolutely no floral aroma coming from this, nor any other aroma. I will order from other companies and do a comparison. Had I realised it was not going to smell of anything, I would not have bought the one pound container, which I am now stuck with. Also I am not the only one that smelt it.
