Organic Yarrow Hydrosol

Our Organic Yarrow Hydrosol is meticulously steam distilled from the fresh aerial flower tops by expert artisanal distillers who distill specifically for the hydrosol. It is not distilled as a byproduct of essential oil production. Distilled using copper alembic stills, our Organic Yarrow Hydrosol does not have the unpleasant "still note" that hydrosols can have when they are produced using stainless steel equipment. Distillation using copper stills may also help the hydrosol be more resistant to microbial growth.

Commonly known as Yarrow, the species Achillea millefolium is a hardy, flowering perennial that is native to temperate regions of North America and the Northern Hemisphere. Yarrow produces compact aromatic flowers that tend to be predominantly white or yellow.

We ship our hydrosols in plastic to avoid breakage, but hydrosols should be transferred to glass as soon as possible. Like essential oils, hydrosols should be stored in a cool dry place. The shelf life of hydrosols is up to 2 years when they are stored properly. Our Organic Yarrow Hydrosol does not contain any preservatives. Hydrosols can be stored in the refrigerator.
